Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme has been running very successfully in several companies within the Tyneside Battalion for many years.

The Award Scheme has gone from strength to strength and now has over 50 young people currently working towards their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

The Participants undertake the 4 sections to complete the Award most of which can be completed within Boys’ Brigade nights and by participation in training and qualifying Expedition weekends.

The Award is lead by a designated member of each Boys’ Brigade Company who is responsible for overseeing and administering the Award Scheme.

There are a number of support staff in each company to assist in the delivery of the Award
